The present study demonstrates the existence of oscillation revival in complex systems, contingent on the population size or heterogeneity level of coupling feedback impurity (imperfections or defects). The findings reveal that by manipulating such heterogeneity, the stability of amplitude death can effectively eliminate oscillation quenching in a network of interconnected oscillators, in sharp contrast to homogeneous coupling, which has the propensity to cause oscillations cessation. It offers a wide range of possible technological applications in which a spatial system must continuously oscillate to function correctly with just a few interventions at certain network nodes.
