Ficus exasperata (Moraceae) is used as acaricide and for the treatment of asthma, furred tongue, throat inflammation and sore throat [1]. It also exhibites antiulcer activity [2]. From the methanol extract of stems of Ficus exasperata Vahl. collected in the centre province of Cameroon, one new unusual fatty acid 1, and one new acyl-glucosylsterol 2, along with several known compounds were isolated. Their structures were elucidated using 1-D and 2-D NMR spectroscopic techniques (DEPT, COSY, HSQC, and NOESY) and mass spectral analysis. Acknowledgements: One of the authors (M. D. J.
