Background: Tengh is a drink made by several Cameroonian spices including Zingiber officinale, Allium sativum, Cymbopogon citratus, Ocimum basilicum, Petroselinum crispum, and Bee propolis. In Cameroon, the drink is empirically used for the treatment of inflammation, pain and anxiety. In our previous studies, Tengh shows an anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity. Knowing the link between inflammation, oxidative stress and neurodegenerative disorders, the present study aimed to assess neuroprotective effects of Tengh on memory impairment and neuroinflammation induced by Scopolamine on ovariectomized Wistar rat.
