Abstract

We discuss the coupling of stationary nonlinear excitations in an electrical lattice. Due to nonlinear interaction between the modes, we show within a quasi-discrete multiple scale approach that the physics of the network is described by two coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations. Therefore, a novel class of lattice soliton is derived in the form of a coupled kink-soliton pair. Moreover, analytical results are checked by computer experiments.
